Dr. Loren Giesler
SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Dr. Giesler assumed the role of Director of the School of Plant Health and Insect Sciences upon its formation in 2026. As he focuses his efforts on administrative leadership in this new role, Dr. Giesler is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive school culture, emphasizing a strong sense of belonging among its members. Under his leadership, the School turns its focus to becoming a global leader in arthropod and microbial sciences while advancing sustainable ecosystems, food and nutrition security, and human and animal health for Nebraska and beyond.
